QuickStix is not an emergency service. If your child may be seriously unwell, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.
Fees are payable at the time of booking. Medicare rebates depend on the service provided, the applicable Medicare item and referral status. A referral is not required to attend, but only a limited Medicare rebate may be available without a valid referral.
For an illness, minor injury or other concern that needs prompt medical assessment but is not an emergency.

Medicare rebate: Varies according to the consultation and whether your child has a valid referral.
We reserve appointments in each clinic session to provide same- or next-clinic access where capacity allows.
For newborn and well-child checks, defined general medical concerns and suitable paediatric referrals requiring assessment without a long wait.
We do not currently accept referrals for developmental or behavioural assessment, or complex ongoing care.

For children who need timely review after an emergency department presentation, Virtual ED consultation or hospital admission.
Depending on the reason for follow-up, this may be booked as either a SNAC or RAP consultation. Choose the closest option in Healthengine and our team will review the booking and contact you if it needs to be changed.
