Fees are payable at the time of booking. Medicare rebates depend on the service provided, the applicable Medicare item and referral status.
A referral is not required to attend; however a limited Medicare rebate may be available without a valid referral.

For children with an illness, injury or other concern that needs prompt medical assessment but is not an emergency. We reserve appointments in each clinic session to provide same- or next-clinic access where capacity allows.
Is SNAC right for my child?
For newborn and well-child checks, defined general medical concerns and suitable paediatric referrals requiring assessment without a long wait.
We aim to offer appointments within two weeks for suitable referrals, where capacity allows. We can do this because we limit our scope. This means that we do not currently accept referrals for developmental or behavioural assessment, or complex ongoing care.
Is RAP right for my child?
For children who need timely review after an emergency department presentation, Virtual ED consultation or hospital admission.
Depending on the reason for follow-up, this may be booked as either a SNAC or RAP consultation. Choose the closest option in Healthengine and our team will review the booking and contact you if it needs to be changed.
